Never done stamp idea

From: deviltechie (deviltechie@yahoo.com) | Date: 2004-03-28 02:49:00 UTC
Hello all,
I'm new to letter boxing and (being stubborn and creative like that)
would like to do a stamp that hasn't been done but people would like
to see done. It doesn't have to be simple, just something cool and
unique that people will enjoy finding and that will give me
that "warm fuzzy feeling" at having that be my first stamp to hide.
Any ideas?

=====================================
Welcome to Letterboxing, DT!

I too am new to letterboxing. I loved this gentle hobby as soon as I read
about it. I've planted two boxes now and have at least two more in the
works.

So you can see I'm really in no position to suppose what stamp image has
never been done. My humble suggestion would be to look around your town or
local countryside. Is there a great story about a person, place or thing
that most folks don't know about in your area? Is there an image you could
carve that brings that story to life? If so, go for it.

Then the fun part begins, I think. That's making up the clues to lead folks
to your letterbox. Share your knowledge of the story about the box as they
follow your clues. Once they find the box and see your cool stamp, they
will have had a perfect letterboxing day!

Have lots of fun. That's what it's all about.
